Bah. The Last Thing I Need.
I have been in a very black mood since midday Friday, and this is the last thing I need:
Since Nova Scotia Power is so incompetent1 this will probably mean that I lose power at some point tomorrow and for some time afterwards.
Since I’m supposed to be off to Boston on Sunday, this is especially annoying.
The last time this happened we were without power for over a week. And, of course, the city was absolutely wrecked.
- This is the short version of “behaves as a economically rational actor in a profit-based system which does not assign any intrinsic value to providing an essential public service, where a monopoly is held”. Essential services should not be run by for-profit companies.(back)
