Dadhood
This is the first Father’s Day when my (2-year old) daughter understood the concept of the day. She gave me a present she made herself.
I try to keep most of my “I am the sappy Dad” stuff off this blog, but I’ve got to tell you that having Sarah so excited to give me a Father’s Day present was pretty much unutterably amazing.
When I was discussing this with a friend he asked me if I would wear the hat out in public when I was with Sarah.
“Sure,” I said.
“So you don’t want to hurt her feeling by not wearing it?”
He’s young, and doesn’t have kids, so I can understand why he totally missed the point. I’d wear it because it’s the most awesome thing ever, and I don’t care what anyone else thinks.
I just wish it fit on my ridiculously large head.

Very nice. You should buy some gigantic plain white caps and leave them laying around the house…

Reminds me of a “Lame ass t-shirt” I got from someone once.
