Personal Space Limits

How can you not want to read an article that includes this:

Bin Laden was “very polite and humble and shy. He didn’t like too many kisses… he didn’t mind being hugged but kisses he didn’t like and he just seemed to float… across the floor,”

and this

“I never really thought I’d be a Muslim,” he told ABC. “I’d say, ‘Oh look, you know, I really love your religion but I really love my beer’.”

AND this

As a child Thomas was rejected as a ballet dancer for being too stocky and joined a punk band, The Lobotomy Scars.

? How?

If I read this correctly, it’s Jihad Jack that had the beer vs Muslim problem, not Osama. But more startling is that al-Qaeda offered only $10000 for anyone who would attempt a terrorist strikin in Australia. That’s not a heck of a lot of money for such a big endeavour. I wonder if they seriously thought that small amt of money would attract any interest.

Yeah, it was Jack, but you’ve got to love that quote.

As for the $10K: I’m one or two degrees of separation away from people who would kill someone on the street for $100. Seriously. And I live in Happy Little Halifax. For $10K, who knows what you could get.

I mean, I’m not interested, but I bet there are a lot of people who would see that as a real lot of money.

Hmm. But really, Being a reasonably logical kind of guy, what terrorist ‘action’ could I pull off that would give me a chance to enjoy my 10K and how could I possibly trust OBL to pay up? I guess the money is moot when you start talking about the motives of terrorists….
