Aside: Pack Rat
I must be the worst techo-tv-phile in the world. I just watched a movie that’s been on my DVR since June of 2006. I’m not sure why it’s wrong that I kept it there for two and a half years without either watching or deleting it, but I’m sure that it is somehow. It wasn’t that good either.

I’m not so bad about this with the DVR, largely because mine is Windows Media Center, and those TV shows take up a lot of disk space. But I have unread links and essays going back well over a year. “This looks interesting. I’ll read this one day.” But how often do I do that?

Judging from my ridiculous bookmark file, you can maintain this pattern safely for at least fourteen years.

Was it Showgirls?

You so funny.
Actually it was Lord Of War.
And I did watch Showgirls once. In a hotel. I asked for my money back, on the basis that it was so bad no one should have to pay for it, and the hotel should be ashamed to have shown it. The desk clerk didn’t blink an eye and refunded it–”I could only endure 15 minutes of it” she said.

Nope. But there are many, many of us on the Web.
