Not A Clint Movie

Firefox has released 1.0. Go get it.

I’ve been playing with this since the first release of Mozilla, which seems like FOREVER ago, and occasionally have used the various releases along the way for a little while, but since the 1.0 Preview Release I have been using Firefox as my primary-and-almost-exclusive browser. In every important way it is superior to IE.

My only remaining complaint is that Firefox still doesn’t wrap on soft hyphens. Which means that the “the Trackback URI for this post is:” links on my comment pages (and on the comments page of every WordPress user) will likely overflow the column, unless you are running in a largeish window.

If you’re using Firefox, go to a comment page and resize the window for width, you’ll see what I mean. In IE the soft hypens in “i-am-a-culinary-genius”, using the example TrackBack URI from the last post (http://www.chrismclaren.com/blog/2004/11/08/i-am-a-culinary-genius/trackback/) would be word wrap points. In Firefox they aren’t. So the TrackBack URIs can easily flow out of their column. Sigh.
