You are poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed, however you feel strong cravings and urges that you have difficulty resisting. You tend to prefer short-term pleasures and rewards over long-term consequences. You have a generally cheerful disposition. You are a moderately imaginative person who enjoys a good balance between the real world and fantasy. You will help others if they are in need. If people ask for too much of your time you feel that they are imposing on you, however you are not adverse to confrontation and will sometimes even intimidate others to get your own way. You take your time when making decisions and will deliberate on all the possible consequences and alternatives.

Hm. As usual, I suspect these things don’t tell me anything except a little bit about how I see myself. The real fun always comes in discussing the results with friends or family. In this case though, I’m a little surprised by both how neurotic this test thinks I am–I actually think of myself as pretty rock solid mentally/emotionally. Of course I also think of myself as more than a tiny bit agreeable, but based on the questions I suspect “agreeable” in this case equates more to “pushover” than to “personable”.

Updated: I should totally have clicked through to detailed report. It clarifies some of the questions I had. For example, the breakdown of the neuroticism thing is pretty clear and I don’t disagree with it much:

Overall Score: 57
Anxiety: 20
Anger: 83
Depression: 80
Self-Consciousness: 15
Immoderation: 99
Vulnerability: 12

You are a calm person who is considered almost fearless by some. You feel enraged when things do not go your way. You are sensitive about being treated fairly and feel resentful and bitter if you think you are being cheated. You tend to lack energy and have difficult initiating activities. You do not feel nervous in social situations, and have a good impression of what others think of you. You feel strong cravings and urges that you have difficulty resisting. You tend to prefer short-term pleasures and rewards over long-term consequences. You are poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed.

So I get neurotic points for being immoderate and prone to anger and depression, but I can still consider myself rock solid in that I am not anxious, self-conscious, or emotionally vulnerable.

There are similar explanations for the agreeability thing, etc. Nice to see that my basic lack of order is what’s killing my conscientiousness as well.
