Bachelor Weekend Over: Final beers

Family is home. All is well. Apparently they are keeping me as husband and father, at least for a while longer.

As for the beer sampling:

Flying Dog Road Dog Porter turned out to be really rather good, and I’ll probably pick up a case for the poker tournament this weekend.

Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale was OK, but not in any way astonishing. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing that makes it stand out either, and since I generally prefer the dark beers an ale has to be standout for me to care.

Rogue Old Crustacean Barleywine was BAD, WRONG, and FOUL. Yes, it does run at an alchohol percentage that makes Maudite look like tonic water, but it’s not worth it. Man, what a foul and bitter taste. Cool bottle, but this is something that I would only buy to give to someone I wanted to punish.
