It is mine. Oh yes, it is.

Finally, the Complete Calvin and Hobbes is here.

Quite pricey, but you can see where the money has gone into production value in the finished books. One thousand, four hundred, and fifty-six pages of pure C&H goodness, in three lovely volumes. (I wonder if I could read through this in one sitting if my family were out of town or something.)

Of course, it never rains but it pours, so along with C&H there were a number of other expensive things I had been waiting for at Strange Adventures when I went in last night:

The Big Haul

Just C&H would have made an expensive trip. Adding in Absolute Watchmen, and the latest Elfquest archives would have made a really expensive trip. Adding in all the other stuff in that photo (plus 4 or 5 actual comics) makes for what I think is the #2 spot on the “Most money I’ve given to Cal in one chunk” list. (Don’t ask about #1. Really.)

The ironic part–I was so tired last night I barely managed to read two comics, much less attack anything in the photo, before I more or less passed out. Still, this should be enough to get me through for a while.
