{"id":962,"date":"2007-08-08T13:49:15","date_gmt":"2007-08-08T17:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chrismclaren.com\/blog\/2007\/08\/08\/i-like-sherlock-holmes\/"},"modified":"2007-08-08T13:51:41","modified_gmt":"2007-08-08T17:51:41","slug":"i-like-sherlock-holmes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.chrismclaren.com\/blog\/2007\/08\/08\/i-like-sherlock-holmes\/","title":{"rendered":"I like Sherlock Holmes."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t think it ever occurred to me that <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Arthur_Conan_Doyle\">Arthur Conan Doyle<\/a>&#8216;s lifespan had convergence with the period in which film, particularly film with audio, was a common technology.<\/p>\n<p>I certainly don&#8217;t think of him being alive until 1930&#8211;in my mind he&#8217;s all about gaslight, and certainly set in the period well before WWI.<\/p>\n<p>However, reality is, as is often the case, not the same thing as my mind.<\/p>\n<p><center><object width=\"425\" height=\"350\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/z0d9ufVyn_4\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><\/param><\/object><\/center><\/p>\n<p>In my mind he was also a bit less Scottish, but I prefer the reality here I think.
