Man, <a href=\"\/blog\/2007\/06\/26\/banjos-playing-through-the-broken-glass-2\/\">I already mocked Alabama this week<\/a>&#8211;I&#8217;m out of punchlines. Here:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.governorpress.alabama.gov\/pr\/pr-2007-06-28-01-prayforrain.asp\">State of Alabama &#8211; Office of the Governor Bob Riley &#8211; Press Releases<\/a><br \/>\nMONTGOMERY \u2013 Governor Bob Riley is encouraging Alabamians to pray for rain.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor has issued a proclamation declaring June 30 through July 7 as \u201cDays of Prayer for Rain\u201d in Alabama, and he is asking citizens to pray individually and in their houses of worship for rain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout our history, Alabamians have turned in prayer to God to humbly ask for His blessings and to hold us steady during times of difficulty.
