It&#8217;s a very rare argument.<\/footnote> form of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pgwodehousebooks.com\/\">Wodehouse<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hatsharpening.com\/j&#038;w\/\">Jeeves &#038; Wooster<\/a> stories are the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0147699\/\">Jonathan Cecil<\/a> unabridged readings from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.audiopartners.com\/wodehouse.html\">Audio Partners<\/a>, the voice I hear in my mind when I think of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jeeves\">Jeeves<\/a> speaking is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephenfry.com\/\">Stephen Fry<\/a>&#8216;s. Certainly he&#8217;s created a visual icon:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chrismclaren.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2007\/03\/jeeves.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"200\" alt=\"Stephen Fry as Jeeves\" title=\"Stephen Fry as Jeeves\" class=\"aligncenter\"\/><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why I think the notion of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voco.uk.com\/\">the VOCO clock<\/a>, a clock that awakes you with Fry&#8217;s voice speaking one of fifty or so different Jeevesian lines is terribly amusing. (Of course I also think Fry being involved in something so obviously crass and commercial is kind of funny in its own right&#8211;it does rather clash with his image.)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Your horoscope is promising very considerable profit and equal quantities of pleasure. Unlikely as this may currently appear, the world merely requires your presence for the process to begin.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I think I&#8217;d rather wake up to that than to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/informationmorningns\/\">Don Connolly<\/a>, yup.
