\"Books\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That’s the stack of books I took to the Word On The Street<\/a> on Sunday to have signed, sketched, remarqued, or whatever the creators felt like doing. (Yes, I am that<\/em> guy.)<\/p>\n

All the creators seemed friendly, and interested, and were in good moods. I was particularly impressed with how well several of them interacted with the younger children.<\/p>\n

I won’t show everything here, since no one really cares but me, but let me show two of my favourites.<\/p>\n

This is the headshot of Hannah that Eric Kim<\/a> did for me in the first volume of Love As A Foreign Language<\/a>:<\/p>\n

And this is the full-page sketch of Soracia<\/a> that Mark Oakley<\/a> did in my first volume of Thieves and Kings<\/a>:<\/p>\n

I didn’t get as much of a chance to see the rest of the show (i.e. outside the graphic novel area) as I would have wished–in particular I missed seeing the Handbound Books<\/a> booth (which ironically was right behind the graphic novels)–but I still had a good time.<\/p>\n

And I wasn’t the only one to have a good time at the show; Lobsterface McGee also had a lot of fun:<\/p>\n
