So, we had a little mini-blizzard last night, and now we’re quite snowed in. It was only around a foot of snow, but the 120 kph+ winds (according to Environment Canada–I’m not going out there) are keeping things whited out, and are apparently giving the plows some trouble. At least this time we are snowed in with both power and a net connection.<\/p>\n
Since the RCMP closed the highways, we have no way to get to town, but since our road, and more immediately our driveway, haven’t been plowed yet, it’s kind of a moot point.<\/p>\n
Besides which, it appears that everything in town is closed today anyway. This specifically includes the day care, which means I’m not working today–even though I could “get to work”–because I’m on Daddy Duty.<\/p>\n
I think I was wise to skip poker night last night–if I had been trapped in town that would have been A Very Bad Thing.<\/p>\n
