To be fair this is a much shorter-range version of broadcast power than Tesla was after, but still&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The presenter is the CEO of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.witricity.com\/\">WiTricity<\/a>, which is commercializing the technology, which is itself based on MIT research that lead to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mit.edu\/~soljacic\/\">the lead researcher<\/a> getting a MacArthur grant last year<footnote>It makes me feel weird to see MacArthur fellows who are younger than I am.<\/footnote>.
