Or even better, that some politicians remember what the whole Bill Of Rights things was about&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2005\/06\/15\/AR2005061501953.html\">House Votes To Curb Patriot Act<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The House handed President Bush the first defeat in his effort to preserve the broad powers of the USA Patriot Act, voting yesterday to curtail the FBI&#8217;s ability to seize library and bookstore records for terrorism investigations.<\/p>\n<p>Bush has threatened to veto any measure that weakens those powers. The surprise 238 to 187 rebuke to the White House was produced when a handful of conservative Republicans, worried about government intrusion, joined with Democrats who are concerned about personal privacy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh, please, let this be the start of a new trend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"excerpt\">Could this (please) be a sign that the Gangsta Administration is finally starting to break up?
