2) A quite good tool for getting tackstrip off the floor is actually a decent quality butterknife. The flexibility and thin edge of the blade make it easier to get the blade under the strip than with a prybar, and the flexibility also helps pop the strip up. I think the one I used today cost me 25 cents when I was a student.<\/p>\n
3) The dump does not take carpet or underlay–apparently those have to go to a special “construction” dump. That place, of course, is not open during any useful hours, particularly the time when I was driving around with a load of carpet packed into the back of the car.<\/p>\n
