So, my wife’s maternity leave is over, and she has gone back to work.<\/p>\n
This means that when she leaves for work I have to be awake, to hang out with Sarah until it’s time to take her to baby jail for the day.<\/p>\n
This means that I have to get up approximately two hours earlier than I have been getting up for the last decade.<\/p>\n
My body is not adjusting well to this.<\/p>\n
Don’t get me wrong, I love the hell out of Sarah, and I am happy to have the extra time to spend with her in the morning, but man… the idea that this whole getting up early thing is now a 5-days-a-week pattern that will continue FOREVER (well, at least until she’s old enough to get herself up, dressed, and off to the school bus–by which time there might be more children, or I might not be in the kind of job I have now, or whatever) is surely depressing.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Sarah wore a dress for the first time on Sunday (for Mother’s Day) and that was pretty damn cute.
