It panders to both my painfully strong drive to own (or at least partake in) an architectural folly, and my secret door\/hidden room fetish.<\/p>\n<p>Moving on to today&#8217;s amusing science story, I find New Scientist reporting that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/article\/dn15112-lefthanded-people-are-more-inhibited.html\">left-handed people are more inhibited<\/a>. While I intend to enjoy using this amusing nugget for domestic mockery, one wonders about the wider applicability of the findings given that one of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/newstopics\/uselection2008\/barackobama\/3401168\/Barack-Obama-The-50-facts-you-might-not-know.html\">the little-known facts<\/a> about America&#8217;s new President-Elect is that he is <em><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sinister\">sinister<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder what conclusions we can draw about the writers and readers of 1950s pulp novels from <a href=\"http:\/\/goldenagecomicbookstories.blogspot.com\/2008\/11\/paperback-covers-early-1950s.html\">the collection of cover art<\/a> that&#8217;s up at Golden Age Comic Book Stories&#8230; I feel like there&#8217;s a common theme to the images, but it&#8217;s so subtle it keeps eluding me.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure if it says more about me, or about America, but it took me a really long time make up my mind about whether or not <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marryourdaughter.com\/index.php\">MarryOurDaughter.com<\/a> was a joke. It&#8217;s like the best Onion articles that way.
