My musical crush<\/a> on Montreal blueswoman Dawn Tyler Watson<\/a> continues. While “Hey Hey<\/a>” is still the top of my playlist, some of the covers from the recent En Duo<\/a> album are climbing up.<\/p>\n

For instance the cover of Patty Griffin<\/a>‘s tune “Wiggley Fingers” (lyrics<\/a>) on the album is pretty amazing. Something about Dawn’s voice, especially when she gets to the bit about “They’ll send me flying right out of St. Francis Xavier\/With a note to my daddy about my unspeakable behaviour\/And who in the hell said I need a saviour anyhow” just blows me away.<\/p>\n
