Attending a meeting is much less onerous when it can be done with continuous partial attention. Having to actually sit there and look interested during the bits that don&#8217;t concern me is a lot harder than just working on something else until the meeting gets interesting.<\/footnote> I predict another two or three hours of reading <a href=\"http:\/\/plato.stanford.edu\/entries\/santayana\/\">Santayana<\/a> now.<\/p>\n<p>Predictions for tomorrow: 8.5 hours of meetings already scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>I am not going to survive this week.<\/p>\n<p>If I do make it to Friday, I predict that Friday will include 8 hours of driving, followed by a day in Niagara, an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oysterband.co.uk\/\">Oysterband<\/a> concert in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lighthousetheatre.com\/index.php?option=com_events&#038;task=view_detail&#038;agid=78&#038;year=2008&#038;month=04&#038;day=12&#038;Itemid=23\">Port Dover<\/a>, a bunch more driving on Sunday, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dannymichel.com\/newsite\/live_dates.html\">another concert<\/a>, and then a whole lot more driving.<\/p>\n<p>I am already tired.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"excerpt\">Sunday: 3 hours of packing. 1 hour of back-and-forth. 11 hours of driving (5 hours of music, 6 hours of radio plays.) 3 hours of reading.
