I plan to leave all my junk for my wife to deal with though.

And if I die early she&#039;s going to have to find a way to keep my 10 tonnes of books around to eventually pass on to my daughter--who may very likely not even want them. Heh.</description>

My mother died about a year and a half ago, and going through all her stuff made me much more ruthless about cleaning out stuff and clutter.  We moved house a few months ago, and I threw out / recycled / gave away a whole lot before the move, and another significant fraction while unpacking, and there&#039;s still more to go.  My new rule is to ask myself whether my treasured junk will mean anything to my kids after I&#039;m gone -- and the default answer is no.</description>
