I plan to leave all my junk for my wife to deal with though.

And if I die early she's going to have to find a way to keep my 10 tonnes of books around to eventually pass on to my daughter--who may very likely not even want them. Heh.</description>

My mother died about a year and a half ago, and going through all her stuff made me much more ruthless about cleaning out stuff and clutter.  We moved house a few months ago, and I threw out / recycled / gave away a whole lot before the move, and another significant fraction while unpacking, and there's still more to go.  My new rule is to ask myself whether my treasured junk will mean anything to my kids after I'm gone -- and the default answer is no.</description>
