Dude! You just made my day.

I was always a Black Leather Jacket kind of guy (0, C0C0C0, FFFFFF, 0, C0C0C0, 0, 800040, 808080, FFFFFF, 808080, 808080, 0, 10E0E0E0, C0C0C0, 808080, 0, 808080, 0, FFFFFF, 0, FFFFFF), and kept manually setting my desktops that way long after MS stopped including themes of that name.

XP though, drove me nuts with the whole "if you want the UI you must use our theme" thing. I just switched over to Royale Noir, and it's much closer.

And, of course, that article linked me to the whole "patched DLL" theme subculture, which means I'll probably actually be able to get things the way I want them. Finally.

Hot Dog Stand! I hadn't thought about that in years. I will admit that I, back in the day, used HDS as the color scheme on my own machine for a day or two when I felt that work wasn't psychedelic enough. (Rainy Day was the scheme I finally settled on, after endless futzing.) Nowadays for XP I do like Royale Noir, a throwback to when M$ used more interesting names.
