I'm so far into rage fatigue with the US Administration that I can't bring myself to post about it. My own government is no better. I have stuff I feel like I should be saying, but we're way past "preaching to the choir". I'm annoyed with my job this week, which doesn't help. All the genre things I normally like to read about online are full of ridiculous, completely ludicrous arguments. (For the record: Eclipse looks like a great book despite any calculus of victimization, and I will continue to buy a ridiculous amount of Nightshade's output; Steve is funny, and despite really liking both Move Under Ground and Under My Roof, I think I probably won't be able to read another Nick Mamatas novel; any comic shop that doesn't at least know D+Q and Fantagraphics exist is worthy of derision; while I enjoyed the Dresden Files as a show, despite it obviously not being as good as the books--TV adaptations of novels will never be, really--I think that the management of the Sci Fi channel probably has a better idea of the profitability of continuing the show than J. Random Fan; etc.) Really all I've got are cute daughter stories, and I try to ration those out. Maybe tomorrow I'll have more juice. I’m just all ranted out.
