A Portrait of the Blogger As A (Very) Young Man.
My mom recently sent me some photographs from my childhood, and they are amusing the hell out of me–not least because having now made it through the first two years of parenthood the notion that I was once a baby has some more visceral meaning for me.
Anyway, I present Mr. McLaren, age six weeks:

I apologize for the image quality, but cheap prints do not age well over the course of almost 33 years.

Sorry Chris, can’t resist… I notice you have the same haircut in the pictures as you did the last time I saw you.

I’ve really only ever been happy with my hair when it was extremely short, or extremely long.
Now, just as when these pictures were taken, long isn’t an option, so it’s all about the serious buzz.
