		<description>Those are both very interesting pieces of information: a Link recommendation is good for quite a few points, as is a Chiang. I can live with not getting anywhere so long as the ride is fun (witness the fact that I keep reading Stephenson books, and enjoying them). This is the first time I've heard the satire angle though, and that only makes me more interested.</description>

		<description>I'd echo David Moles' reaction to it: I definitely enjoyed it, even though I don't think the plot has a satisfactory resolution, and I think the novel is probably as much a satire as anything else.</description>
