Oh, poor poor me
The Head Cold from Hell has really settled in now. It’s funny, because you’d think the head cold was the mildest ailment, and the easiest to get by, but I find that not being able to breathe right makes it impossible for me to sleep. Of course not sleeping is not the best way to get over a cold, so…
I could actually feel this starting on Monday, and it’s grown over the past couple of days. God I hate post-nasal drip–it’s like the slowest torture. (Yes, I am actually thinking about drastic solutions!) I’m also surprised by how enervating something so trivial actually is, between the drop in sleep quality and the normal tiredness associated with the body fighting something off.
Last night I slept from 7pm onwards, quite a change from my usual 2am bedtime, and tonight I’ve already slept 7-9 and am planning to return to bed soon. I think tomorrow’s going to be a wash for work. I probably should have taken today off as well, but I foolishly worked anyway.
The worst part of this is that tomorrow is Trish’s birthday, and I’d like to be in a celebratory mood. Some of her family is flying in for the weekend, and Mucus-lor may not be the best host in the universe either.
This has already slowed posting here, and will probably continue to do so unless I spend tomorrow on the couch watching that box set of The Wire and catching up on my incredibly overstuffed ‘To Blog’ folder.

I have the first two seasons sitting here, but haven’t had a chance to watch any episodes yet. I have it on the best authority (i.e. dual recommendations from my two most trusted TV recommendors) that I will really enjoy the show, when I get a chance.
